One of the key parts of each major broadcasting and streaming system is process and quality monitoring. Based on our experience in various such projects, we provide various monitoring solutions. They are focused on several aspects: perceptive image quality, which refers to noise level, geometry, continuity and intensity; technical adequacy in terms of stream stability and data consistency; compliance with neural signal standards, i.e. their safety for highly susceptible viewers; existence and adequate level of audio signal and its purity from any noise, cracking or terminations; synchronization and filtration, etc.

These solutions are highly configurable and may monitor a large number of signals simultaneously, and they may be integrated into various alarming systems, whether designed by CS and its system solution department or existing on the side of the customer.

In addition to the permanent monitoring systems, we also provide quality analysis and monitoring service upon order, as well as systems for monitoring and recording for compliance (compliance signal recording) i.e. archiving of the broadcast signal for a certain period in the past.

Due to years of our engagement in the field of IPTV and OTT systems, CS provides a wide range of products and options for digital streaming of audio and video content. This includes hardware systems, where we maintain successful partnerships with global renowned manufacturers such as Harmonic, as well as software implementations of Wowza. They may be used as a core in the broadcasting environment or as an element of IPTV or OTT system, and they cover needs of all customer types, depending on the type of their activity and business model.

Along with the basic streaming infrastructure, CS also provides services of their system installation, as well as calculations and dimensioning of the network systems which they are connected to, considering the environment is highly sensitive to undesired latencies, network traffic jams, data losses, etc. We even go a step further and provide our customers with advanced, redundant streaming systems intended for the most demanding projects, which must provide very high availability and stability of service. Such systems have been implemented among our most important clients in this field in the region.

Our offer in the field of broadcast contribution and distribution includes various systems for automated content management and modelling of work flows based around them. This starts from the system of receiving files from various sources, and continues by storing them on storage systems and cataloguing depending on their metadata. Here we also offer systems with various transcoding options, for various target platforms and additional products for their connection with multimedia bases, multimedia asset management systems and broadcasting program systems.

The distribution part refers to server systems providing for broadcasting or playout in real time, whether live produced and broadcasted channels, or non-linear contents on demand from the storage systems.

Finally, management and work flows offered by us include systems for content archiving, system stability and load monitoring, etc. In general, CS provides all products required for an integral solution of contribution and distribution in a contemporary broadcasting environment.

CS Computer Systems was one of the first companies in the region providing Digital Signage system, i.e. digital signs. Our DS systems cover a wide range of installations, screens and applications, including both independent and centralized systems with logging and monitoring. Jointly with these systems we also provide the service of development and integration with databases and their processing and with video distribution systems.

We also provide full turn-key solutions for Digital Signage including additional elements such as hardware for each screen, network installations, servers for centralization and management, user consoles, and elaboration of design and scenario of presentation according to customers’ desires.

In addition to Windows system support, we also provide the options of implementation by use of Android OS, thus reducing final costs for the customer, simplifying the administration and facilitating the initial installation.

Our primary partner in this field is a Swedish company Klocktornet with their product DISE, and we gained experience through the implementation on a many demanding projects.

Our company provides solutions for complete digital headend i.e. signal acquisition from external sources and their processing for further distribution through the local broadcasting, IPTV, OTT and alike. We provide systems for receiving of satellite or optical signals, or non-compressed signal from a television production live and their encoding into various formats and profiles suitable for further broadcasting. Such systems may be connected with our other solutions for monitoring and distribution.

We have gained experience in this field through our many completed projects. Our primary partner in this area is Harmonic, but we also provide a wide range of accompanying network and system services required for such installations, for which we have our own departments and we also have partnerships in the field of hardware implementation, i.e. cabling, antennas, etc.

Since 2009, CS Computer Systems has been deeply engaged in the field of OTT systems, primarily with its proprietary OTT solution AVIION.
It is a system of distribution of multimedia contents, on demand or live, on various client platforms such as smartphones, tablets, set-top-boxes, smart TV sets and computers. AVIION is also designed as a cloud solution i.e. in addition to the independent installation our clients are also provided with the option of use of our hardware infrastructure, drastically reducing the costs of maintenance and speeding up the service launching. Development of OTT system has come out as a natural continuation to IPTV systems by which CS also acquired significant experience, combining partners’ and proprietary technologies. In our offer we thus have various varieties of integration and maintenance of IPTV systems, as well as programs of their transition in the direction of OTT, considering that AVIION as our primary product may also serve as a core for IPTV infrastructure.

CS Computer Systems has specialized in the implementation of various multiscreen solutions, i.e. delivery and processing of video content to several screens. They are just as applicable in IPTV and OTT fields. Our systems thus may optimize and transcode the video contents for various platforms, from computers, mobile phones and tablets to set top boxes, playing consoles and smart TV sets. Each of them may be allocated to several quality profiles, with various bitrates, for various link throughputs from the server to client platforms. This is one of the basic conditions for dynamic adaptive streaming, a concept of growing importance in the video signal distribution to end users.
